Helen Gamble employs deception to extract a confession from a suspected carjacker defended by Jimmy Berluti. Although Gamble believes her tactics were justified and essential for removing a threat from the streets, Berluti and Eugene contend otherwise. They approach a federal judge to challenge the validity of the confession, arguing it should be deemed inadmissible, which could ultimately lead to the release of the carjacker.
