Despite being ordered to take a break, Peter persists in tailing the suspect. Meanwhile, Caijsa and Jorma deceive their boss in order to assist Peter behind the scenes. In another part of the story, Barbro starts looking into an old case involving a puzzling disappearance that occurred years ago in the village of Österbymo.
