Episode Overview

Hyacinth is deeply offended to receive second place at the local craft fair, especially to Lydia Hawksworth. Her indignation escalates when she and Richard are outpaced by Lydia's flashy new car. Soon after, Richard’s greatest apprehensions come true as Hyacinth becomes fixated on acquiring a newer, upscale Rolls Royce, determined to outshine Lydia and elevate her social status.
