Episode Overview

During a mission to assess the well-being of villagers near the American Forward Operating Base (FOB) Kala Gush in the Afghan mountains, an Army platoon comes under fire from the Taliban. Gunner Spc. Kyle Schipritt suffers injuries from shrapnel but manages to survive the onslaught. The FOB faces relentless assaults around the clock, and soon after recovering, Schipritt finds himself back in the field, only to be struck once more by shrapnel in another fierce attack.
