The gang returns to Plymouth, Massachusetts, to celebrate the wedding of Shaggy's sister, Maggie, and her fiancé, Wilfred. However, their plans take a turn when the spirit of their long-deceased relative, McBaggy Rogers, materializes, demanding the return of his old ring, which conceals a treasure map.
