Episode Overview
"You had no authority to make that second dive without my permission!" Admiral Nelson scolds Crane after yet another scientist presents an innovative artificial atmosphere that promises to transform deep-sea diving, reminiscent of Season 1's "The Condemned." As always, Captain Crane finds himself the test subject for these perilous experiments, which come with deadly consequences. A heated confrontation erupts between them in the Admiral's quarters following Crane's reckless dive. This time, it's Chip Morton who fires at Crane, not Nelson. At the conclusion, relief and gratitude fill Crane's eyes when Nelson hands him the antidote, a poignant moment reflecting his earlier pain in Season 3's "Day of Evil."
