The job centre is set to undergo an inspection, and Trish is eager to identify the mystery shopper—an undercover jobseeker who will submit a review. No one else appears concerned, except for Janette, the security guard, who has a deep-seated dislike for the Great Barr branch and is intent on surpassing them in the job centre rankings. Meanwhile, Karl is focused on teaming up with George to question two major benefit fraudsters, but both are vying for the role of the tough cop in their interrogation.
