In "The Werther Project," Sam discovers that Magnus, a former member of the Men of Letters, created a powerful magical box. Determined to locate it, Sam believes it may hold the key to freeing Dean from the Mark of Cain. However, he is unprepared for the lethal security measures Magnus installed to protect the box. When Sam finally opens it, he inadvertently jeopardizes both his life and Dean's, leading to a perilous situation that tests their bond and survival instincts.
