Following an FBI operation targeting a doomsday group known as the "Temple of the Seven Stars," Mulder encounters Melissa, a cult member who insists they were connected in a past life during the Civil War. While Scully suspects the woman is suffering from delusions linked to schizophrenia, Mulder finds himself intrigued and captivated by her elaborate visions.
