As the weasels return home, a wave of happiness sweeps over the other animals. Fox shares the issue they’re facing with the rats and asks the weasels for assistance. They agree to help but first need to train Fido and Cleo on how to handle the rats, using Spike as a practice target. Meanwhile, Mossy informs Hurkel that he discovered Shadow hidden in a hutch near the Warden's cottage. While Hurkel and the weasels attempt to rescue her, the Warden's cat calls Rollo for backup. Recognizing his weasel buddies, Rollo is thrilled to see them. In a separate development, after several leadership challenges, the white deer and the animals of Farthing appoint Laird as the new leader of White Deer Park. Meanwhile, the rats gather in overwhelming numbers, preparing for a coordinated assault on the park's inhabitants.
