After Margaret's father loses his job as a botanist, he starts behaving strangely and isolates himself in the basement. While everyone else overlooks his peculiar actions and the eerie sounds emanating from below, Margaret is deeply unsettled. Convinced her dad is becoming a mad scientist, she tries to convince her skeptical brother, Casey. However, things take a turn when Casey discovers their father has been consuming plant food! Determined to uncover the truth, Margaret and Casey bravely descend into the dark, unsettling basement to reveal their father's mysterious secret.
