Episode Overview

Four bladesmiths confront the tough task of melding high carbon steel with wrought iron to forge a fully functional weapon from these contrasting materials. After a challenging testing round, only two will advance to the final stage, where they have five days to craft one of history's most intricately designed blades, the Ethiopian Shotel. Will the distinctive shape of this blade prove to be a difficult hurdle, or will one smith rise to claim the title of Forged in Fire champion?
