A meteorite containing Kryptonite crashes in Addis Ababa and is shipped to Shuster for examination. Unexpectedly, it makes its way into Clark's geology class. During the lesson on minerals, Clark experiences the debilitating effects of Kryptonite for the first time, leaving him vulnerable and in agony.
