Title: The Chrysalis Plot: In the Heaven’s Gate "Classroom," Bonnie and Marshall, known as "Ti" and "Do" or "The Two," impose rigid restrictions against contacting family. Following Ti's death from cancer in 1985, a grieving Do permits temporary family visits, leading some members to contemplate leaving the movement permanently. Upon their return, Do tightens his grip on the group, becoming increasingly authoritarian and ultimately introducing the notion of collective suicide.
