Episode Overview
Naomi attempts to make breakfast for her family, but Mama tosses it out, prompting Naomi to vent about her inability to contribute to her husband and stepchildren's lives, claiming Mama is always taking control of the kitchen and household chores. When Mama's vacuum cleaner breaks down, Vint suggests she borrow Naomi’s new one—his wedding gift to her. Naomi walks in just as Mama uses it, expressing her frustration about never having anything of her own. Suddenly, the vacuum begins to smoke and scorches the carpet after running over one of Naomi's keychains, leading to a heated argument and a decision to take the matter to court. At small claims court, Judge W.E. Packard presides over the chaotic case, with both women calling witnesses, including Vint, who is summoned by each of them. Ultimately, the judge finds both Mama and Naomi in contempt, fining them $100 each and ordering them to cover their own damages.
