Episode Overview

Bubba is eager to borrow $200 for a new drum set, while Iola is frustrated because her jewelry box won't open, preventing her from securing her pearls. She brings the box to Vint for help, but when he can't manage it, Bubba quickly uses a bobby pin to unlock it. After Iola heads home, she returns shortly, distraught over the disappearance of her precious pearls. Immediately, she suspects Bubba, who enters with a shiny new drum set, claiming he borrowed it from someone whose name he can't remember. Mama, attempting to back Bubba up, kicks Iola out, but she soon turns on Bubba as well. Feeling betrayed, he decides to leave home. Iola finds him at the "Rayhound" station and shares Eunice's story about her own runaway attempt.
