Episode Overview

Iola is heartbroken over the loss of her cat, Midnight, despite everyone around her expressing relief at the cat's notoriously nasty behavior. Unable to move on, Iola decides to have Midnight freeze-dried, even purchasing a model that meows when petted. She leaves the preserved pet with Mama, who inadvertently sets it out on the porch. Meanwhile, Vint, Naomi, and Bubba are bringing in a trunk they bought from the police surplus and mistakenly believe they’ve harmed Midnight when they stumble upon the freeze-dried cat. They bury it, then open the trunk, discovering a Mama cat and her kittens inside, one of which strikingly resembles Iola's beloved pet and quickly bonds with her.
