Episode Overview
Updating the church's phone directory is challenging enough, but with everyone coming and going, it's nearly impossible. Luckily for Mama, her desire for a quiet home is fulfilled. First, Bubba reveals he’s joining a fraternity called "Sigma Alpha Pie" (or "SAP") and will be gone all weekend. Then, Iola asks Mama to care for her goldfish while she takes her parents on a trip. Next, Vint receives an invitation for him and Naomi to enjoy a friend's cabin for the weekend. Mama looks forward to some peaceful solitude, but after completing the directory update, she discovers the TV is broken and finds herself unable to read. Boredom sets in, leading her to chat with the goldfish and overfeed him. Her attempts to reorganize the kitchen end in chaos, and she ends up outside on the porch, literally singing in the rain.
