Marissa Fairborne and the Technobots come across Dirk Mannis, who wields the perilous Recreator. It becomes clear that the Quintessons are after the Recreator too, and Dirk is willing to hand it over for the right price. This sets off a chain of treachery and manipulation that ensnares Marissa and the Technobots in a web of deceit.
