Following a lengthy journey as a commercial and portrait photographer, the playful San Francisco artist Michael Jang had a trove of photographs from his twenties tucked away for years. These included spontaneous celebrity portraits and a charming portrayal of Chinese American family life that had seldom been documented in such a lighthearted manner. When the pandemic struck, Jang decided it was time to reveal his hidden gems to the public, taking to the streets in a guerrilla-style approach to showcase his unique artistry.
