Episode Overview

Ray and Matt board a train traveling along Sicily’s western coastline, heading to the historic town of Cefalu to reconnect with Joe, a first-generation Sicilian and one of Ray’s lifelong friends. The three explore a snail farm, tasting snail eggs and applying snail cream, much to the delight of the local wasp population. Their journey continues with a scenic drive to a picturesque vineyard, where they enjoy a wine tasting with Vito, another old friend and skilled winemaker. They then venture to the ancient Milazzo castle, where they hear tales of pirates, royals, and tragic fates, before setting sail to the beautiful Aeolian island of Lipari.
