Abby discovers a community that may be crucial for everyone's survival. Led by the last remaining government official, Samantha Willis, this settlement still has access to light, hot water, food, and electricity. Abby quickly forms a bond with Samantha, but her admiration fades when she witnesses the extreme measures Samantha takes to keep her community under control. Meanwhile, Greg and Tom are out scavenging for supplies when they come across a family that has successfully avoided the virus. When the family's daughter approaches them, Tom and Greg find themselves in a heartbreaking situation, as any interaction could jeopardize the family’s safety.
