Jack reconnects with an old friend who is looking into reports of fairy sightings in the nearby woods. Following their meeting, Torchwood receives news about a man's unexplained death in a prison cell. Meanwhile, Tosh discovers a pattern of unusual extreme weather occurring in the area. The team is left puzzled about the significance of these incidents and how they might relate to one another. However, Jack knows the truth, having encountered the very creatures responsible nearly a hundred years ago.
