Raglin discovers that Carole is colluding with Pinzolo to ruin Eli financially. In a bold move, David confronts Pinzolo and demands he take him to the bank to recover the funds he swindled from Eli. This confrontation takes a tragic turn when David is shot and killed, mistaken for a robber. Devastated by David’s death, Raglin spirals into turmoil, haunted by a previous case involving the death of another innocent bystander.
