Title: Episode 1 Plot: As the summer sun intensifies, Australians are winding down their work lives, preparing for the festive break. For lifeguards, however, the season means a surge in activity, as they brace for holiday throngs, sweltering temperatures, and rowdy partygoers. Bondi Beach erupts with energy as a wave of reckless teens floods the shore. With a limited number of lifeguards, disaster soon ensues. Eighteen-year-old Stephanie is swimming with friends when she collides with a sandbank, rendering her unconscious. Lifeguards rush to resuscitate her. Meanwhile, an inexperienced surfer from England finds himself battered against the rocks, suffering a broken ankle. As lifeguards struggle to manage the chaos, two men fake drowning near Deano during a rescue, prompting police intervention.
