S05E06 Episode 6
Episode Overview
Beachgoers flock to Bondi for countless reasons—some seek thrilling waves, while others yearn for relaxation, romance, or a golden tan. However, not everyone gets what they hope for; many end up sunburned, overwhelmed by waves, or caught in riptides. Sixteen-year-old Temika Wright arrives at Bondi for a two-week lifeguard exchange program, eager to learn the ropes at one of the world's busiest beaches. On her first day, chaos ensues as the tower deals with a flood of blue bottle stings, mainly affecting Chinese children, most of whom are under 14 and only one can communicate in English. Temika's challenges escalate when she helps a girl, visiting from the Blue Mountains, who has injured her head while diving. The girl, just a year older than Temika, is in considerable pain and fears a spinal injury, but finds comfort in Temika's support. Another emergency arises with a man who suffers a severe head cut
