Lucy fails to catch a book thrown her way by Ricky, resulting in her getting a black eye. Fred and Ethel mistakenly believe it was an intentional act. To mend things between the Ricardos, Fred decides to send Lucy some flowers, but he accidentally signs them with his own name instead of Ricky's.
