S01E02 Hold the Boarder
Episode Overview
Prime Minister Thorbjörn Fälldin rushes to Stockholm to convene with government and military leaders. Commander-in-Chief Börje Lagercrantz, who harbors a deep disdain for Bolsheviks, insists that Sweden is under threat and advocates for an immediate counterattack. However, Secretary of State Ola Ullsten counsels restraint, leading to Börje storming out in anger. Meanwhile, Captain Peskov and his crew find themselves in a dire situation aboard their submarine, stuck and anxious about the repercussions awaiting them upon their return. They receive new orders from the Kremlin: if the Swedes attempt to board, Captain Peskov must destroy the submarine, a solution that tempts him amidst mounting pressures.
