Professor Erskine Tate regains consciousness in his car, confused and hungover, with no memory of how he ended up there. Soon, he learns he's being blamed for running over a mailman during his reckless night out. Seeking assistance, he turns to his former student, Ben Matlock, who begins to look into the actions of two students and a teaching assistant to uncover the truth.
