Matlock decides to further his education and enrolls in a class. While attending, a scandal erupts when one of his fellow students is implicated in the murder of a professor with whom she was having a secret relationship. As Matlock investigates, he discovers that the real reason behind the professor's death isn't love, but rather a scheme involving academic dishonesty.
