Episode Overview
Mildred brings her delicious pies to the diner, and they quickly become a favorite among the patrons. Before long, she receives an order for 35 pies weekly, with more requests flooding in from other eateries. When Veda stumbles upon her waitress uniforms, Mildred is compelled to reveal her job. However, Veda dismisses it as beneath her. Undeterred, Mildred shares her dream of opening her own restaurant and asks Wally for a cost estimate, but he proposes a different plan. Following her divorce from Bert, she buys and transforms a house into her restaurant. On her final day at the diner, she sneaks off to the beach with a customer named Monty Beragon, only to return home the next day to find her youngest daughter hospitalized and gravely ill.
