S17E25 The Savannah House - 7
Episode Overview
The episode begins at the bustling Port of Savannah, a key player on the East Coast and a significant source of local employment. While new cedar shutters are delivered to the site and heat pumps are lifted onto the roof, installer Jimmy Woods showcases the elegant new maple cabinets destined for the kitchen. Project manager Mark Fitzpatrick enhances the building's appearance by taking down the old sheet metal "pigeon guards" that were hiding the lintels. We then explore Gulfstream Aerospace, where luxurious business jets are crafted with exquisite cabinetry. Back at the house, a stunning floor mosaic is installed in the entryway, featuring a detailed Greek key and acanthus leaf pattern created with precision-cut porcelain tile. Specialist Mike McMurray and his team expertly match the new and old heart pine floors. Lastly, paper hanger Peter Bridgman continues his meticulous work in the rear parlor.
