This Old House (1979)
S20E12 The Watertown House - 12
Episode Overview
It's a bustling day at the site as the construction of the back decking progresses with a new undermount system. Inside, the insulation crew is busy applying foam insulation. Meanwhile, Mark Schaub and his team are getting ready to line the chimneys using a concrete mixture poured around bladders in each flue. In the backyard, Dick Washburn demonstrates an interesting dipping tank designed for stripping paint from one of the old mantles. In the quieter workshop, our master carpenter is crafting a quartersawn white oak raised-panel piece for the base of the staircase. Lastly, mason Lenny Belliveau is working on the newly delivered pink granite blocks for the foundation's veneer at the front of the building.
