This Old House (1979)
S20E23 The Key West House - 4
Episode Overview
The episode begins at Truman Annex, a community developed on the site of Key West’s former naval base. Later, we explore Celebration, a newly constructed town designed by architect Graham Gund as a Disney initiative, created over the past four years with contributions from some of the top architects in the world. Back at the project house, Roger Townsend reveals the fully framed great room and shows off the nearly finished rough plumbing and electrical work, preparing for inspections before the insulation team arrives. Homeowner Michael Miller ultimately decides to tear down the back porch and rebuild it to better match the house's overall style. We also take a look at the Key West-style lap siding, as the innovative foam insulation begins to be installed.
