In the basement, Richard Trethewey walks homeowner David McCue through the plumbing system, helping him grasp the functions of each component and how to safely interact with the heating unit. Painter John Dee updates Steve on the portico restoration, showcasing his latest work on molds for missing decorative plaster pieces. Roger Cook reveals the three patios his team has constructed and takes Steve to a nearby nursery, where he collaborates with landscape architect David Hawk to lay out the proposed planting design for the new driveway's turning island. Meanwhile, Tommy and the master carpenter install a new porch column at the site.
