S25E16 Making and Installing Engineered Flooring - The Concord Cottage

Jan 24, 2004 Season 25 Episode 16 Documentary, Reality

Episode Overview

On a chilly winter day, a massive sod delivery of 12,000 square feet takes center stage as Roger guides Kevin through the unloading and installation of 48 rolls of sod, each 62 feet long. Kevin then meets horticulturists Stephanie and Janet, who discuss how the new plantings will evolve into a vibrant cottage garden over time. Inside, tile contractor Joe Ferrante is busy laying 16x24-inch distressed Irish limestone tiles, while Tom coordinates with a local home center team for the engineered maple floor installation. Norm visits a Danville, Virginia factory with plant manager John Tappan to observe the engineered flooring production. Meanwhile, in the master suite, screen fabricator Steve Primack demonstrates how he can craft a custom retractable screen for the balcony door in roughly an hour, and Kevin receives an "Interior Painting 101" tutorial from painting contractor Jim Clark in the living room.
