S30E15 Weston; Amy Lends a Hand
Episode Overview
In Weston, landscape contractor Roger Cook is busy setting up a berm and fence in the front yard to create a barrier from the bustling street. Meanwhile, landscape architect Wes Wirth and homeowner Amy Favat evaluate the selection of native plants designated for the new planting areas. Amy invites host Kevin O'Connor to a Florence, Massachusetts showroom and workshop, where they participate in crafting concrete countertops and a sink together. After allowing a 30-day curing period, master carpenter Norm Abram oversees the installation of the countertops in the kitchen. Plumbing and heating expert Richard Trethewey demonstrates for Kevin the split-type air conditioning system, which includes outdoor heat pumps and indoor units for tailored climate control. In the master bedroom, Kevin joins Amy and designer Carole Freehauf as they lay down eco-friendly carpet tiles, perfect for DIY enthusiasts.
