Host Kevin O'Connor arrives at Bill Pierce's home, where the exterior painting preparations are in full swing. Bill has chosen a revolutionary paint that guarantees homeowners they will "never paint again." General contractor Tom Silva and master carpenter Norm Abram are busy installing custom copper half-round gutters as recommended by the architect. Inside, Kevin discovers the wallboard is up, and plastering contractor David Crawford and his team are applying a base coat of veneer plaster. Outside, Kevin meets painters Mat Giovanello and Pat Foley, who explain their innovative painting system that includes advanced surface preparation and a special acrylic paint mixed with ceramic beads. Just weeks before the project’s completion, Bill decides to have Tom rebuild his one-car garage, prompting Tom to swiftly begin dismantling the old structure.
