Episode Overview

In this episode of Newton Centre, landscape contractor Roger Cook and homeowner Gillian Pierce visit their neighbor, gardener Cathy Schneider, who generously offers some of her plants for dividing. Meanwhile, painting contractor Anne Brady begins work on the dining room, demonstrating how to patch and spot-prime a water-damaged ceiling. She teaches host Kevin O'Connor a technique for repainting the ceiling in 3'x3' sections, enabling her to apply two coats simultaneously while maintaining a wet edge. Later, Kevin checks on the kitchen's progress and meets countertop fabricator Danny Puccio at a showroom to explore new options. Back at the Pierce home, general contractor Tom Silva constructs built-in bookshelves for the living room, with Kevin assisting in fabricating and mounting the shelves.
