General contractor David Lopes updates Kevin on the advancements of the puddingstone retaining walls and entrance features at the Roxbury site. Meanwhile, master carpenter Norm Abram heads to Dover, N.H., to observe millwork expert Denis Goupil and his crew as they create bespoke arches for the home's facade. Back in Roxbury, stone specialist Steve Torok fits a vintage marble fireplace surround and mantel to complement the original structure. Upstairs, Kevin discovers flooring contractor Ingo Vu meticulously laying down a hand-scraped, pre-finished solid birch floor for a rustic touch. Interior designer Tricia McDonagh explains to Kevin how she drew inspiration from the bay window panels and marble fireplace in crafting the kitchen cabinetry and countertops.
