Tales from the Darkside (1984)

Episode Overview

In a remote area, the head of a family passes away, only to return, blissfully unaware of his own demise. The local community is in chaos, but the stubborn old man refuses to acknowledge his death, even as he struggles with stiffness, a lack of hunger, and an unpleasant odor. Desperate to help, his grandson Jody seeks the advice of an elderly voodoo practitioner. Instead of casting spells, she hands him a straightforward remedy: pepper. Jody places it in his grandfather's handkerchief, and when the old man sneezes, his nose tumbles off, finally persuading him to lie down and embrace the afterlife.
