Episode Overview

Eleanor Samson, a dazzling opera singer, returns to her hometown of Glasgow to perform with Scottish Opera, hoping to mend her relationship with her estranged husband, John. However, her plans are thrown into turmoil when she learns that John has moved on with the beautiful Kirsty King. When Kirsty's charred body is discovered in John's burnt boat, Eleanor quickly becomes the primary suspect. Detective Jim Taggart and his slick partner, Peter Livingstone, clash over the investigation. Livingstone is convinced of Eleanor's guilt, while Taggart struggles to reconcile the idea of a glamorous woman like her being capable of murder. Could his admiration be skewing his judgment?
