As Clair looks after a friend's infant, she starts to contemplate the idea of having another child. However, Cliff fervently argues against it, insisting that babies are simply "false advertising." Clair's mother, Carrie, weighs in, cautioning her that the older she is when having children, the older she will be if they ever need to move back in with her. This episode marks the debut of Ethel Ayler as Carrie Hanks, Clair's mother.
