Episode Overview
Maxwell's brother, Nigel, returns to host his bachelor party, leaving Fran anxious because she has a hidden secret: she almost married Nigel a year and a half earlier. She attempts to keep this under wraps, but after Nigel drinks too much at the celebration, he spills the beans just as Fran makes a dramatic entrance from the cake, a surprise inspired by Sylvia, who revealed that Morty abandoned his wedding for the cake girl—Sylvia herself! An argument erupts between Fran and Maxwell, leading them to end their engagement. However, C.C., influenced by Prozac, reminds Fran that Maxwell hasn’t been wallowing for five years. She then brings Marla Maples, who briefly dated Maxwell before, to confront him. Ultimately, both realize their true feelings and decide to recommit to their wedding.
