Episode Overview

Alan Willis, a slothful and unscrupulous landlord, is renting out run-down properties to unsuspecting renters. When Australian student Claire MacGregor moves into a hazardous apartment, she tragically succumbs to carbon monoxide poisoning from a faulty boiler. Alan discovers her lifeless body, panics, and turns to his wife Liz to help him cover up the incident as a suicide. They concoct a scheme to stage it as if Claire had taken her life by inhaling exhaust fumes from her car. However, their plan hits a snag when the true owner of the vehicle appears, insisting that Claire was unable to drive.
