Episode Overview
Delicious Records undergoes a major change when seasoned industry leader Kai Owens takes the reins after acquiring the company. Bringing along several of her trusted colleagues, she begins interviewing staff to determine who will remain. Adam delights in the chaos, celebrating each dismissal by banging a gong. Meanwhile, Mona fears she's next in line due to her poor interview skills. Despite Dee Dee's encouragement, she falters in her meeting with Kai. However, impressed by her contributions, Kai unexpectedly promotes her to Vice President, placing her in charge of Spencer, who struggles with the new dynamic and resists her authority. Concerned about their friendship, Mona feels the tension rise. In another storyline, Dee Dee convinces her mother to let her bond with her unborn brother, leading Big Dee Dee to allow her to choose the baby's name.
