S05E30 The Dahlia Feud
Episode Overview
Title: The Dahlia Feud Plot: Elly bakes a sponge cake using actual sponges! Meanwhile, Mrs. Drysdale dreams of a beautiful dahlia garden and enlists Mr. Ted to help plant them. However, Elly's pet chimp swipes the stakes meant for the flowers. When Mrs. Drysdale spots Granny with a stake, she mistakenly believes Granny has taken the wood. A tussle ensues by the pond, resulting in Granny tumbling in. Mr. Ted arrives to begin work on the dahlia beds, and Granny curiously peeks through the fence, mistaking the planted beds for graves marked with the Clampetts' names. Miss Jane catches the chimp in the act and clarifies to Mrs. Drysdale that the mischievous animal was behind the missing stakes. Granny's worries are put to rest when she learns those aren't graves, but dahlia beds named in honor of the Clampetts.
