Episode Overview
While exploring ancient ruins along a riverbank, Challenger, Malone, and Veronica encounter a man who stumbles from the jungle, pursued by a barrage of arrows. Malone manages to pull the injured man to safety, but he dies while delivering an enigmatic message about finding a man named Pierson Rice. Challenger recalls Rice as a self-absorbed hunter once admired by Roxton. The trio quickly sends word to Roxton and Marguerite before embarking on their quest to locate Rice. Roxton is appalled to hear that his former idol may still be alive. Upon reaching a nearby village, they find that Rice has ensnared the locals in loyalty and, aided by his ruthless lieutenant, is plotting to overthrow the queen and marry her stunning daughter to secure his rule.
