Buddy Ernst discovers a newfound affection for a pony with a golden mane, whom he names Goldilocks. His happiness is short-lived when he finds out that his father intends to sell the horse. Determined to protect his new friend, Buddy takes off into the sweltering desert with Goldilocks, seeking freedom and adventure.
