Episode Overview

The Kramdens receive a telegram from Alice’s mother announcing her upcoming visit, and Ralph isn’t thrilled about it. He suggests staying with the Nortons instead. Trixie pressures Ed to convince Ralph to return to Alice, but Ed’s comments upset Trixie, leading her to stay with Alice. Eventually, Ralph and Alice realize they’ve misinterpreted the telegram, and Ralph realizes he’s really put his foot in it.
